Shannon Corr
Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Shannon and I am a graphic designer based in and around New York. Growing up on Long Island, I participated in various sports and always had a love for my art and design classes at Copiague High School, where I graduated in 2018. Continuing my education, my passions landed me in Brooklyn, NY at Pratt Institute studying graphic design. It was here that I also played collegiate volleyball and even found a love for coaching and working with young athletes.
After taking a gap year during the 2020 pandemic, I started coaching again which also, presented me the opportunity to work as a designer for the volleyball club. It was that moment that I knew combining my love of art and athletics was exactly what I wanted to do. In any capacity, that is what made me happy and that’s what made my best work.
Shortly after, I decided to take the jump and leave Brooklyn, pack up my cat and relocate to Scranton, PA where I continued my studies at Marywood University. I am on track to graduate in 2023 with my Bachelors in Graphic Design.
Outside of design and volleyball, I am passionate about overall health awareness, running and yoga. It took a serious back injury in my late teens that limited my mobility and motion to realize the important balance of mental, emotional and physical health. Like most people, I also enjoy adventure and the outdoors, spending time with my family and friends.
