World Photography

This is the temple of Poseidon, it's an ancient temple on the coast about an hour and a half from Athens.  This was one of my favorite places I went while I was abroad. I actually went twice to watch the sunset, it was beautiful.

These are pictures of Montpelier, the capital of Vermont, that I took over the summer.  They were taken with a film camera from the 1980s that my grandfather gave me.  I love the grain that these images have while also having so much depth that, when turning digital photos black and white, it doesn't have the same impact as taking them on actual film.

This is a picture I took in the fall of 2024 for my photojournalism class. We had to take sports pictures, so I chose to go to a field hockey game, although I've never really watched field hockey. It was really fun to take pictures because it's a very high-speed sport.  I found this composition interesting because everyone is looking at the ball, and the lines lead your eyes down to the corner.

Taking pictures of nature is one of my favorite things to do because I think nature is really pretty.  This is one of my favorite pictures of these black eyed susan's, which is one of my grandmother's favorite flowers.

The left picture is from when I went to Geneva, Switzerland. This is a view from when we went to the Swiss Alps.  The right picture is from Meteora, a place about 4 hours from Athens, where there are a bunch of rock formations with monasteries on top.  It was so pretty, I went twice.
