Hello! I’m Gabby Ziegler

I am currently a Graphic Design major studying and Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I grew up in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, two hours directly south of Scranton.
Art has stuck with me since I was very young. When I was seven, my parents enrolled me in attending a local art studio a few times a week during the summer. The studio offered an array of art supplies and an instructor who let me explore. I would watch the older kids create things with different fine art materials, and I constantly wanted to be like them. Thus, my inspiration and passion for art was born.
Drawing and painting were the primary mediums I used throughout my childhood. It wasn’t until the beginning high school that I started to learn about graphic design. I won first place in a photography contest during my first year of high school. Between my sophomore and senior years of high school, I went to Berks Career and Technology Center and studied its Advertising Art and Design program. That is where I was first introduced to Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop. I competed in a Skills USA advertising design competition in 2019. Currently, at Marywood, I am part of the Zeta Omicron national art honors society and the CMYK club.
As I continue to use the Adobe programs, I also continue exploring multiple art mediums such as photography, painting, and mixed media. I enjoy making newsletter/magazine spreads, package designs, posters, and branding. I look forward to pushing my passion further and sharpening the spear of my skill.
